Massive Tornado Rips Through California
Recently, a tornado unexpectedly hit the town of Scotts Valley, California.
Despite not being in prime tornado territory, this tornado both formed and ripped through the town, flipping six cars, tearing down power lines and uprooting a massive tree that crashed onto the middle school. Businesses in the area suffered significant damage, and debris littered many parts of the town.
Five people were injured as a result of the tornado with three taken to medical facilities, though none sustained life-threatening injuries. Now, things are as close to “back to normal” as they can be given the circumstances, but the videos from the event are still pretty wild to watch.

Note how far debris is flung outside the condensation funnel. Even if you aren’t bit by the tornado, projectile debris can be a huge issue. pic.twitter.com/RlKAZETc2s#BREAKING: Watch as a tornado touches down in California flipping multiple cars and causing damage to buildings and property
